these symbols are foundational to my practice. they represent the core themes of my work and spiritual process:

*bunny mysticism* is the mischievous and playful archetype of mysticism and mystery.

*koluèv la* is the archetype of divine order, Ancestor, and guidance & protection from Spirit. in many African cosmologies, snakes are representative of Ancestors. in my paternal tribe the Royal Python is the spirit that creates divine order. in our mythos, the Royal Python is wrapped around the earth to hold everything together. if you've ever seen a rainbow, you've seen the royal python!

*there are no clouds for 10,000 miles* is the archetype of humanity, devotion to practice, and internal peace. in some buddhist thought, it is said that practice is what makes us human because when we practice, we cannot become stuck in any one state. i see practice as a human's way to embody the natural order. through devotion to practice, we can learn to joyfully partake in both birth and death, again and again. the title of this drawing, "there are no clouds for 10,000 miles," is a quote from "the heart of the pranjaparamita sutra" describing "what you experience when you give birth to genuine wisdom and enlightenment."
