*there are no clouds for 10,000 miles* is the archetype of humanity, devotion to practice, and internal peace. in some buddhist thought, it is said that practice is what makes us human because when we practice, we cannot become stuck in any one state. i see practice as a human's way to embody the natural order. through devotion to practice, we can learn to joyfully partake in both birth and death, again and again. the title of this drawing, "there are no clouds for 10,000 miles," is a quote from "the heart of the pranjaparamita sutra" describing "what you experience when you give birth to genuine wisdom and enlightenment."
